High-speed fiber optic SFP modules for Gigabit & Fast Ethernet networks.
Western Gigabit SFP Transceivers plug directly into Gigabit and Fast Ethernet switches via GBIC slots. They allow network expansion by providing high-speed fiber optic connections. These transceivers follow IEEE standards and support Duplex LC connectors for maximum compatibility. Fully compliant with Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) specifications.
Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP).
Multi-Source Agreement compliant.
Fully IEEE 802.3z standard compliant.
Supports up to 550m / 1km / 2km / 10km.
FDA, CDRH, TUV Laser Eye safety certified.
Metal body for lower EMI interference.
The SFP transceiver uses a compact Small Form-Factor Pluggable design. It provides necessary signal amplification for data transmission between network cable and port. Smaller than XENPAK, X2 and XFP, ensuring lower cost, low power consumption, and higher port density.
Used in distributed processing, Gigabit switch cascading, high-speed I/O file transfer, bus extension, and channel extender/data storage solutions.
Supports hot-plugging. Can be inserted or removed without powering off the system, minimizing downtime and simplifying maintenance.
